Organic olive oil in all its facets - The Olive Oil Bar at BioFach gives the visitors various means of access to olive oil. A list of all the oils exhibited with accurate information on variety, origin and stand creates an initial impression. The list can be used to compile an individual selection for tasting, either with advice or on one's own initiative. Those who would like to know more about taste, classification and professional judging of olive oils should attend the tasting sessions that take place several times a day. Forum presentations by experts provide facts on EU legislation and the olive oil market. The new Olive Oil Award offers interested visitors an informative appraisal of the products exhibited. The olive oils are judged anonymously by coding the samples. The judging system is numerical, ensures even distribution of the samples and the same tasting chances for all participants. The tasting marks are processed immediately and the ranking is shown continuously until the official presentation of the winners on Saturday afternoon.
